It's Nice Out'Or, It Was. It's Raining Now.

Over the past week or so, Des Moines has been graced with some beautiful weather.  Mother nature definitely owes us a great spring after the horrendous winter we all barely survived mentally intact (the jury is still out on a few of us).  In fact, I even managed to get something resembling a tan sunburn.  Damn you, Irish and Norwegian blood.  Whatever.  I’m thoroughly savoring my overdose of vitamin D.  After Lithuania and this past winter, I think I can take advantage of the sun...

When Are You Going Back'

Montana

My suitcase has felt neglected over the past 2 weeks, so I’m putting it to use and flying out to Montana tomorrow morning.  I’m staying at my aunt and uncle’s house, so I’ll have access to the internet, my camera, and plenty of spectacular scenery.  I’m ready to see mountains again.  Iowa and Lithuania are severely lacking in the elevation department.

Stolen Wine and Chicken Pot Pie
