Emergency Numbers in Bangkok

 

 

Bangkok is a relatively safe city to stay in and the locals are, in most cases, ready to help or assist foreigners.

There are tourist police roaming around the city and often they can adequately understand and speak English. You can call the police hotline at 1155 for assistance. They are specifically assigned to assist tourists and foreigners that moving to Bangkok.

For more serious concerns, you can also contact the Thai police at 191 or 123. Generally, the policemen in Bangkok are courteous and helpful.

  • Medical Emergency - 1669
  • Thai Red Cross - 02 252 8181-9
  • National Disaster Warning Centre - 1860

For medical emergencies, you can also call these private hospitals in Bangkok for immediate help:

  • Bumrungrad Hospital - 02 667 1175
  • Bangkok Hospital - 02 310 3001 
  • Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital - 02 711 8191

All of these numbers are answered by English-speaking operators.

Contact information of your Embassy in Bangkok should also be kept for emergency purposes.
