US Expat Tax in Austria

American citizens who are residing in Austria are still subject to pay U.S. income tax to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), and the rules for filing their taxes are almost the same whether they are abroad. American expats are granted an automatic two-month extension to file their return and pay the amount due to them. US expats who are living in Austria should mail their tax return to the Department of Treasury, Internal Revenue Service Centre in Austin, Texas.
