Expat Savings in Cambodia
An expats can open a savings account in Cambodia by presenting the required paperwork including his passport and a business visa, which is valid for at least six months. Some banks may also ask for an expat-applicant’s Cambodian visa, proof of residence and certificate of employment. Bank products in Cambodia are covered by the Anti-Money Laundering Law enacted in 2007.
