Education Services in Chile
The education system in Chile is divided into four parts: preschool, primary school, secondary school and technical or higher education. Chile requires residents between six and fourteen-years-old to attend eight years of primary school. It is also said the Chile is the first Latin American country to require four years of high school for all students until the age of 18. The first semester of schools in Chile runs from the end of February or early March until July. After a winter break of two weeks, school resumes and lasts until late November or early December.
