Current Account in Chile

Expats who want to open a current account in Chile can have an account called Cuenta RUT. To do so, foreign nationals need to have a carnet de identidad or RUT ID first. After that they have to proceed to a full service branch of Banco Estado and go through some paperwork. Benefits of opening this type of account include access to online banking, small ATM withdrawal fees, and sending and receiving money online to and from other Chilean bank accounts for free.
