Q: When did you enter the industry, and when was your company formed? How big has your team and clientele grown since?

A: I entered the industry in 1975. Rainier was created in 1979 and I became a partner there in 1985. We employ 22 people. We handled approximately 1000 international moves in 1985 and currently handled over 5000 international moves per year in 2015.

Q: What makes your company different from other international moving companies?

A: We offer a very personalised service and assign one main sales person to handle each individual move, door to door. Since the majority of our clients are paying the move themselves, our rates are very competitive.

A: Every assignment is different and comes with its own set of unique challenges. If a problem arises, we do everything possible to solve it as soon as possible with little or no cost and headache for our client. That is why we have earned an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) for over 32 years straight.

Q: What are the key factors you take into account when you send a quote to your customers?

A: We offer a complete door-to-door package with no hidden costs.

Q: What are the occasions when you need to survey the items that will be moved?

A: We survey all moves, unless they are under 200Cf in size.

Q: What are your company's policy when it comes to insurance, damage, and loss claims?

A: We offer a full value, all-risk policy door to door and will assist our client in filing a claim, if needed.

Q: What is advice would you give to clients looking to move internationally?

A: Select a shipper who:

  • Has at least 10-15 years of experience

  • Has an A+ rating with the BBB

  • Has been with the BBB for at least 10 years

  • Can give you the name/email/phone of at least three customers they have recently handled to your country of destination

  • You could talk with personally
