a. There is no such category. Families can comply with temporary visa requirements as per point 1 above or permanent residence requirements if they qualify.
b. People with independent financial means can consider investor visas and permanent residence or retired person visas.
c. Family members apply as dependants under the main applicant visa application
d. Permanent residence can be applied for and obtained upon fulfilling permanent residence requirements such as continuously living in SA for 5 years or a valid work visa, or holding critical skills visa and having a permanent contract of employment, or being financially independent or having a child with a SA partner.
