Question : What are the best advertising platforms online?

It's a hard question because, as the nature of the online world, it changes all the time, but I have to say that Facebook paid advertisement seemed to be the most dominant platform these days (Jan 2015).
Even though, it sometimes not easy (Facebook is very strict with their ads and shut down accounts, with no warning if ads are not 'following' FB rules and restrictions), theirs advertisement platform seems to be the most popular.
It has great targeting options, where an advertiser, can specify the people that will view his/her ad (women from your district that are newly engaged, for example) and you can also add videos/pictures/texts to your ad, to make it even catchier. You can also set up a limited budget for the day, to give you maximum control.
In the coming year, YouTube’s platform will 'try to take’ some of Facebook advertisements. It has grown massively in the last year.

Today you can create very easy, not pricey video ads (in 5$ on www.fivver.com, for example) and upload it in a second to YouTube. You can also target it well (Woman/man, country, city, age, interest, etc...), and boom, capture your audience eyes and send them to your offer/website.
