A: From Mainland Honduras

Q: In which city are you currently residing?
A: West Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

Q: What do you do in your new city?
A: Partner in law firm

Q: How is the quality of life in your new city in comparison to that of your home city?
A: Air is healthy and crime is minimal in comparison to other places in the coast

Q: How would you rate the healthcare system in which you are currently enrolled?
A: I have a medical insurance with an American company. There are limited health services providers on the island.



Q: How does the cost of living compare to that of your home city?
A: About 30% higher living on an island commands additional cost. Mainly fuel and transport.

Q: Did you use a relocation company to help you with your move?
A: No.

Q: How easy or difficult was the relocation process?
A: Easy as there were no language barriers. Difficult because I started from zero

Q: Did you move here with any family members?
A: No.

Q: What is one piece of advice you’d like to offer a new expat in your new city?
A: Don’t expect paradise to be cheap. Don’t expect that you will start a business that will support you in a matter of a few months. Bring money or access to/ do not go crazy Try everything in moderation. Don’t bring your old BS to paradise.
