Education Services in Maldives

The educational system of Maldives is said to be governed by three types of traditional institutions: Kiyavaage, Makthab and Madhrasaa. These three are responsible for the high literacy rate of Maldives, which is measured at 93%. The schools in Maldives are classified into three types – the Quaranic schools, English language primary and secondary schools, and the Dhivehi language primary schools.
