Education Services in Norway
Education in Norway for children aged six to sixteen is compulsory and provided for free by the government at primary and lower secondary level. Foreign nationals with children are also entitled to free education in Norway. However, the medium of instruction is in Norwegian, so most expats choose to send their kids to an international school where most subjects are taught in English. Unlike public Norwegian schools, education in international schools require a tuition fee that is quite hefty.
