Since Norway is a member of the Pet Travel Scheme, the country allows cats, dogs and ferrets coming from countries covered by the scheme to enter Norway without quarantine. This is possible as long as the animals meet certain requirements for anti-rabies, blood sampling and anti-worm or anti-tick hygiene. The animal must also be fitted with a microchip for identification purposes, vaccinated against rabies, blood tested to check the effectiveness of the Rabies vaccination, and issued with an Official Pet Passport.
