Education Services in Scotland

Education in Scotland is in many ways similar to that in other parts of the United Kingdom, but significantly different in a number of ways. For instance, since the passing of the Scotland Act of 1998, the Scottish Parliament has been given full control over the educational sector, and the Education Act of 1980 has the primary legislation that governs the same.
