Activities for Kids in Turkey

International schools in Turkey are gradually sprouting due to the increase in the expat population. Expats will find most of the international schools located in larger towns such as Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir and Antalya. British International School is one of the popular options for expat-children. Expect to pay approximately USD$20,000 a year. Other international schools in Istanbul cater to Finnish, Korean, and Spanish students.

Most of the affluent Turkish families prefer to have their children educated privately or enrolled in independent schools in Turkey.

On weekends, fun certainly begins and kids can enjoy sports or outdoor clubs. A family day at the park is ideal, where playgrounds and sand ponds keep the little ones busy while parents enjoy a leisure stroll.

Kids will definitely enjoy the newly opened Dophinarium Complex in Istanbul where dolphins, seals, whales and walruses showcase their amazing skills. Kids can also have the chance to swim with the dolphins.

A day in the zoo will be a treat for all kids; Gaziantep Zoo is the biggest zoo in Turkey.
