Current Account in United Arab Emirates
Expats can open a current account in the United Arab Emirates as long as they are able to submit documents that prove their residency status and current job situation in the UAE. Expatriates should also bear in mind that a residence visa is a mandatory requirement when opening a current account. If expats are still waiting for their residence visas to be released, banks in the UAE do permit opening a savings account ahead of time.
